Sunflower Retreat is set on the mountain directly facing Mt. Crested Butte Ski Area. At 9600 feet, you have spectacular views in every direction. This three level home is only a short walk to the free bus service that services the base area, the town of Crested Butte and even the Gunnison airport.
The upper level has two deluxe high ceiling suites, each with a private bathroom and large shower. One suite has a queen bed and the other has long twins—both have an additional double bed in the dormer. Between the suites is a loft area with bar, trundle bed and a west facing deck. The loft overlooks the main level’s great room.
The main level surrounds a 2-story quartzite stack stone fireplace. The great room faces Crested Butte mountain and has a stereo, TV, DVD and CD player. The kitchen is an open gathering place with island counter, Décor 6-burner gas stove with a bake/convection oven, a microwave oven, dishwasher and refrigerator with icemaker. The kitchen opens up to a large south-facing patio for BBQ, use the Green Egg smoker or just enjoying the high mountain view. The other end of the main level boasts the master bedroom with a queen bed and large bathroom with large steam shower. Another deck off of the great room leads outside to the open air hot tub—a great place to relax and view the incredible stars.
The lower level has the family room with TV, full bath and bedroom with a queen bed. Additionally, there is a large cowboy-themed bunk room with 5 long beds for the buckaroos.
Summer guests can enjoy both the stunning gardens and surrounding wildflower meadow. |
