Event Description:  We are excited to announce Leftover Salmon as the headliner for our FREE spring concert, SkiTown Breakdown!  Now in its seventh year, Crested Butte Mountain Resort will host its annual spring concert on March 18, 2017.  Skitown Breakdown brings in national talent for a free show in the base area; engaging both locals and visiting guests to celebrate spring with live music. Looking back over the past 25 years of rootsy, string-based music, the impact of Leftover Salmon is impossible to deny. Formed in Boulder at the end of 1989, the Colorado slamgrass pioneers took their form of aggressive bluegrass to rock and roll bars at a time when it wasn’t so common, helping Leftover Salmon become a pillar of the jam band scene and unwitting architects of the jamgrass genre.

Don’t miss the awesome raffle afterwards!  The end of ski season is another excuse to celebrate, dress up in silly costumes and have wacky events, like the Pond Skim, where contestants skim across water on their skis and snowboards. Get in your last turns of the season and go out with a bang!  Pond Skim registration is $10 per person and will be held from 1 PM to 2 PM at Butte 66.
